We are sooooo happy to release our NEW album, Musikizinew! For those of you that don’t know, Musikizinew is pronounced “music is in you”, which was the original name of the title track on the album. During shows and rehearsals, Carly would say it so fast that it became one slurred word. Thus we decided to combine it into one word! We have worked soooo many hours in the studio with Emergent Recording to put out the PERFECT album. We are so pleased with the result, and we are sure that you will be too! Please join us for our CD Release Weekend on May 30th and 31st. On Friday we will be throwing down at our favorite beach in the City, KC’s Sandbar and Grille in Downtown Fort Walton Beach and on Saturday we will return to the place where it ALL started, the Funky Blues Shack in Destin, FL. We really appreciate all the support you have all given us over the past 3 years. We hope to see you there!
As always, we had an amazing time this weekend out at Dockside! A great moment in the show Saturday night was when NEA had Mikey from Nobody’s Outlaw sit in during a funky fresh version of Rolling Stones’ groove, Miss You. Thanks to everyone that came out and supported, especially Leo and Gaisser! Also, a huge thanks to Dockside for giving us an awesome venue to jam! See ya next time!
Rock for Hollie was a hugh success. We raised over $3,000 for the Hollie fund and thank you so much to everyone who came out to support. We have so many people to thank that we don’t even know where to begin. Thanks go out to Western Youth, The Dock Hollidays and Hotel Oscar for rocking it out all night. You guys are awesome!!!! Special thanks go out to Garrett and Mary Spencer who put in so much time and effort to make this such a hugh success. Also thank you to all the artist and vendors who donated to the cause as well. Also thank you Tara, Molly, Lauran, Lindsey, Scott, and Phillip for helping out with the donation table. I was an awesome night and we had a blast!!!
Whats up!!!!! We need all the support we can get Sat 17th at Funky Blues Shack in Destin. We are putting on a benefit show for our dear friend Hollie Mcewan. Hollie was diagnosed with stage 3 metastic melanoma. Hollie is 28 years old and has 3 young children and we are donating all proceeds from the show to the Mcewan family. We are so blessed to have three of the greatest local bands in the area to come out and rock it out with us. Hotel Oscar, The Dock Hollidays, and Western Youth are joining the fight and are coming out to rock their hearts out and we want to thank them so much for much for the support. The show will start at 730 and we will be jamming until the sun comes up if neccessary. This show is gonna be insane and we need all the support we can get. We have four awesome bands playing and there’s is no telling who may show up and jam. Love you Hollie!!!!!!
Thanks to everyone that came and supported the New Earth Army at Funky’s this past weekend! We had a blast! A special thanks to our buddy John Tater for another awesome acoustic opening set AND an absolutely AMAZING jam session when he joined us on stage with Santana’s “Black Magic Woman” and our funk-ified version of the Stones’ “Miss You”. Those moments will go down in New Earth Army history baby!
We got just a little more recording to do and we will have our highly anticipated first EP release, “Blues Supa’ Fly EP”, out VERY soon! Hopefully we will have a few demos to put in your hands at the Speakeasy at the end of the month!
The New Earth Army is back baby! We are switching gears now that C is back from the other side of the pond. We will be debuting some killer new tunes this Saturday at Funky Blues Shack in Destin. We will also be having some guest musicians. Stay tuned for more info this week…
